The U.S. Department of Labor's-Office of Labor Management Standards (OLMS) has introduced the new forms LM-2, LM-3 and LM-4 electronic software. The LM-2 form requires a digital signature for electronic submission, using an ACES digital certificate. The certificates can also be used with the LM-3 and LM-4 forms. IdenTrust, formerly Digital Signature Trust (DST), provides the easiest and most reliable way to obtain ACES Digital Certificates. If you are filing a LM-2 form, you will either need to apply for an ACES Business Representative certificate or if you are willing to give out more personal information you may purchase an Unaffiliated Individual certificate (see below for personal information required under PURPOSE/USAGE).

Please note: ONLY THE SUBSCRIBER OF THE CERTIFICATE SHOULD HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE - THE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IS YOUR FORM OF IDENTIFICATION, SIMILAR TO YOUR PASSPORT OR DRIVERS LICENSE. Under the GSA Certificate Policy, it is our responsibility as an Authorized Certificate Authority to revoke the certificate in a case of loss or disclosure of the private key (Passphrase) to anyone other than the subscriber.

There are 2 types of ACES digital certificate from which to choose in order to file the LM-2 forms electronically:

Unaffiliated Individual	Individual representing him/herself	Individual Certificates are sold to those who are acting as representatives of themselves, not on behalf of a company. If you are a sole proprietor and wish to have your identity authenticated independently from your company, more personal information is required, including social security number, credit card number, driver's license number, home phone number.	$70.00 - two years

Once you have completed your form, passed validation and the date and telephone number have been entered into the signature block, you will be able to digitally sign your form.
